0 AWG into 4 AWG terminals? On MRP-M850

Hey,

For my MRP-M850 I'll be running Kicker Hyperflex 0 AWG...The MRP-M850 says that the power/ground terminals accept wire up to 4 AWG. Could I strip my 0 AWG and then remove some threads to make it smaller at the end so it fits into the 4 AWG terminal?

highly recommend NO!! there are reducers you can buy, or if you plan to have another amp at any point, they go ahead and get a 1/0 to 4awg distro block

Why do you recommend no? All I have to do to make it 0 AWG again is cut off the half an inch or so that I made smaller and voila its 0 awg again...I just lose like half an inch of wire...

because having a 1/0 that close to the amp will be bulky and may get you too close to the other terminals

Seeing that my remote wire is 18 AWG I think it will work fine:

meh i did it with my lanzars not that big of a deal, jusst id use a distrobution block if you want (i have one i can sell to ya its kicker 0/1-2 4g)

those are far enough apart to not worry....do it cleanly and it will be fine and look fine

it's won't be sexy, but you could do it. personally, i'd step it down or use a reducer

it will look a lot better and be one less thing you have to do in the future when you upgrade if you do anything other than trim the wire. i suggest a distro block.
