0 and 180 degree polarity...question

I got a boston acoustic sub that has a switch for either 0 or 180 degree polarity...the crossover is about on 80hz and the volume on half...with it on 0 it sounds great...but on 180 it fawkin SLAMS....Is there any issues to be had running it at 180 rather than 0...I don't want to damage it. Thanks.

no all that switch does is reverse the positive and negative around. It's to change the timing that the waves reach your head.

Cool. I just wasnt sure if i would hurt the sub or not.
