I was thinking of building this in a couple days...

Top & Bottom: 38 x 26

Sides: 26 x 12.5

Back: 36.5 x 12.5

Front: 30.5 x 12.5

Port: 19.25 x 12.5

The only problem I have is that I need to make it 37" for length and currently its 38"

I'll be running (2) 12" Type R's and was thinking of staying around 34hz-36hz, but can't remember if you decrease the size of the box weather it will lower or raise the tuning.

So if I take 1" off of the overall length and keep the port the same length, what do you think the tuning will be at?

Thanks for any help in advance, links for calculations will be appreciated or the math that you used to figure this out.

It wont matter that much.

You wont be able to tell the difference.

You think it will tune it a smidge higher? or lower?

You will be losing less than .2 cubic feet which will slightly raise your tuning frequency. Maybe .7hz or so... if even that much.

Sweet, I'll be using the same amp too. I've allready built a huge box for (1) type R and it freaking sounds great, but it was a lil on the big side ... 2.75@33hz

The design that we are using should be just right. I can't wait. Your gonna have yours up and running before me because I don't have the 1606D yet. You gotta let me know how it sounds once you get everything setup. Your gonna do a 1 ohm load on the amp right?

i dont have the amp either, it will be here in a couple weeks when i get paid, so you may have it before me! im upgrading from 1 type r to 2 as well. its being carpeted in charcoal, im having it made by bjfisher. Its going in a nissan sentra, i will have like NO TRUNK LEFT
