Does that just plug into an outlet in your home?

Next question. I have two 15s and don't want to go through the hastle of selling them so I'm going to hook them up in my apartment. Can I hook them up to a reciever and use a crossover to filter out all of the treble or do I have to do something different?

Also, I have a Rockwood 1600 watt amp from a few years ago which I no longer use but still works and is in great shape. I know it's a shitty amp but it works. What amp should I get to power these two 10s? I think I should get a new decent amp or would this amp suffice?
