Just installed my CD7000 last night. Only had about an hour to play w/ it, but figured out most of the items... the hardest being switching to 3-way. I previously owned a CD8454 (04 top model). The sound quality is improved like crazy (Eclipse amps have 8v sensitivity, they are left like that...

I have the 8454 and can't justify buying the 8455 lol ! The unit has a more mainstream aftermarket look, a few extra features (more accurate knobs are awesome!), and little other things (area shot, Sirius capable, HD Radio capable, etc)... but there's no true advacements huh? I'm running in PRO...

Yea, I know you have to wire 4 + 4 to get 2 ohms. I may end up doing that now. Is it possible (on any 4 Ch amp) to run the front at 4 OHMS ( 8 + 8 on each side w/ tweeters) and run 2 ohms (4 + 4 w/ the mid drivers) ? Someone on another forum suggested that, but it sounds like it'd end up...
