Ya I gurantee you its the door pin. I have a 97 Accord wich is virtually the same with the 96. I had a problem with it as well, just the pin wasn't on tight enough so I just tighten it up and it worked great.

If you could prove your Volfenhag amp puts out 100 watts RMS at 14.4 Volts I will bow down. I doubt that thing puts out 300 watts. Get it bench tested if you want to prove it. I bet you my JBL 80.2 puts out better sound quality than yours. Why would a guy spends thousands of dollars on subs...

You usually can say a setup is 80% install and 20% product, but you can't say that with volfenhags. I would proudly take a Sony Xplod over that **** anyday......

You gotta be crazy to think an l715 doesn't put out bass........ Both the L7 and the HCCA are good subs. The HCCA probably is more rounded and has better SQ than the L7. Overall I would take the HCCA.

Ya I wouldn't mind havin the 9500 either. But we do see that quite often, the company makes an improved sub but the price is still too high for most of us and like abcdefg said we could probably get an brahma for less that maybe better in terms of performance.

What I meant was that the SPL is there but it is sloppy as far as I am concerned.

Its pretty hard to compare the companies just in general......JL and Boston are very good SQ companies, I think in the end I would lean toward JL tho.

I was told time after time again distortion can blow speakers. In the past I have blown 2 subs due to clipping. I have yet to blow a speaker with excessive power. Except the time when I was bored and hooked up a Radio Shack 8" to my Planet Audio 2250D.....
