    This amp any good? opinion

lol @ nuthuggers. Kenwood, I thought, used to be one of the 'upper class' amps? I don't do ebay, pickup1, any other cheap sources I'd appreciate. Are there any other suggestions as to where to look at least? I know Rockford Fosgate used to be a **** decent amp... had a 150a2 to the subs before...

    This amp any good? opinion

Pioneer GMT 5400T I'd only be putting it to a couple JLW0's(125 RMS each) or would I be better off buying the Kenwood KAC-7204 And how does Pyle rate as a brand? I found one of theirs for $99 and change but it doesn't show RMS ratings.

Do you think it can do it?

I'd prefer to get away with spending nothing except whatever wires I may need to replace. I had an SUV wired up before, and therefor (hopefully) should have plenty of wire to work with. My concern is it won't make much of a difference putting the audiobahn to the subs... I do know that audiobahn...

Do you think it can do it?

I have the following, without having to buy a single thing except maybe a wire or two depending on if the ones I had in my jeep will reach all the nooks and crannies of my explorer: Amp is the Audiobahn A2002T 2-Channel Bridgeable 50 Watt x 2 RMS Amplifier Subs are 2x 12" W0's in a sealed...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

I was impatient... I didn't know what colors to tap. Plus, now I have 12ga speaker wire running to all speakers... So if I decide to do an amp upgrade I won't ever run into an issue with small cra*ppy wire

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

Well, thank you everyone for your help. I said to hell with it this afternoon and just rewired it all, directly from the deck. That was a pain in the butt. There was this friggin plug thing in the drivers door that I had to bypass by making my own hole in the door and cutting into the...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

Yes there is a stock amp. How do I find the correct wires to bypass etc??? I didn't take the ohm off the speakers, didn't rip the doors apart yet. Alpine CDA9811 is the deck.

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

I'll go get the model, I forget off the top of my head. I'll test the ohm load on the speakers also. Correct me if I'm wrong thats terminal to terminal to test that. I'll come back with my answers... I also think there may be a stock amp hidden in my rear quarter panel... so I'll rip that apart...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

I'm not sure bout the blue/white wire, I'll have to check again. It has aftermarket speakers in it which I need to replace one. I noticed today there's a huge rip in the cone even though sound from it didn't seem affected. I'm not looking forward to taking that quarterpanel off, it looks like a...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

Well, I checked all the speaker connections.. theyre fine. I took a tester light and hooked it to the speaker wires coming out of the deck and after the wiring harness. there is power going into the factory speaker wires, it just stops somewhere before reaching the speakers. So that kills the...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

After seeing how he did the connections on the wiring harness I will have to doublecheck all the speakers. I've never, not even in my newbie days, just twisted wires together and taped them. I've always at least used crimp connectors if not soldered them. He probably just twisted the wire onto...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

I'll have to do that tomorrow. I don't have any more time today to screw with this thing. I have to get to sleep so I can go to work tonight. Thank you both for your input. One more question though. Is there any way that the amp in my deck coulda **** out on me? It's been siting in a ziplock bag...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

If it was going into protection, wouldn't the whole unit shut off? I did try the reset button though and that did not change anything. If there's a bad wire connection it has to be in the doors somewhere. I doubt the factory wire just decided to rot and get a bad connect on it's own. When the...

Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

I don't believe it does, its just the plain jane sound system, no infinity or anything. Old aftermarket JVC was working in there fine except for a loose connection in the front speakers.(when the guy did the wiring harness up for that he just twisted and taped the wires.) And yes, deck...
