    Upgrade from 12" SE

I'm looking to upgrade from a 12" RE SE, i've had this sub for about a year. I'd like to get something that might get a little louder, but still keep my budget down. I have the 12" SE in a 2.5ft@35Hz, with a JBL BP600.1 on it. I'd like to keep my current amp, my alt has a hard enough time...

I've got 2 MAXP124D subs from a guy that i'm supposed to build a box for. So i goto lanzar's site to get the specs on them, the link to the manual is dead. So i call them up and this woman answers the phone, at first it's going good she ask's me what i need and i say the manual for the maxp124d...

    xxx15 install... BIG problems

I'm pretty sure you have the sub wired to the amp wrong. It's a mono amp with 2 outputs, you need to use one set of the outputs not a + off one and a - off the other. The reason it has 2 outputs it make make wiring multiple usb easyier.

    Wiring hu

Is it really so hard to look this information up? Anyway it took me about 5 seconds to find the information you need. Constant 12V+ Green/Yellow Switched 12V+ Yellow/Black Ground Black/Green Illumination Blue/Red Dimmer n/a Antenna n/a Antenna...

    remote wire

NO, The amp needs power and ground, plus the remote wire to turn on. All the remote wire does is send a small amount of power to the amp, i think it's around .30MA. It's pretty much just lets the amp know the Hu is on, So power on.

    Increasing power handling?

You want more power handling? put it in a small sealed box. You could try water cooling a sub, make a water block that you could clamp around the motor. If you keep the motor cool it should also **** heat off the voice coil. The real problem is it's prolly not worth it.

    Dimming headlights

A cap is pretty much a battery that charges, and discharges really fast. The main use is to keep your amps feed with a steady voltage.

    Dimming Lights

So i've just installed an Alpine 9847 and a JBL BP600.1. When i turn it up to a normal listening level, the insde lights, dash lights and trunk lights start to dim pretty good every time the bass hits. Now my head lights dont seem to dim to much. The car has a 75Amp Alternator. Now i measured...

    90 Amp Alt Enough

I'm going to go ahead and say hell no. I have problems in my car with only a 600W amp and 80W Hu. Granted i have a 75A alternator. But your running a lot more power, with a not to much bigger alternator.

    SuperCrewSound...?

Yes more airspace would lower the subs power handling. But if you have a bigger box then you need, put some wood in there to take up space.

    wiring problem

I would drill a hole and seal it, just cause it will look much cleaner. just wire the sub together + to + to + on the amp - to - to - on the amp
