yeah, its a great deal, and it is in really good condition. I know that the rms are over rated but when its rated at 1600 rms @ 1 Ohm is should still be able to push the 1200 rms that the two L5's need.

So right now I'm somewhat short on cash, and my buddy is looking to sell me his Hifonics BXi 1606D for $150 dollars. It will power two Kicker L5's with dual 4 ohm, so ill wire it down to 1 ohm to get as much power from them as possible. I have heard from some people that amp is great yet...

the best way to power your subs would be to get a Class D amp with 1 channel, and that would definitly power the subs very nicely. Look for an amp that powers the subs at 1 ohm at around 1000 rms. Also, just because you buy two subs does not necessarily mean you mean a two channel amp, and yes...

how does this amp compare to the hifonics amps, any other suggestions besides this amp?

I went to the local audio store and the Directed D2400 is what they recommended for my Dual 4 ohm 12" Kicker L5's. With that amp I can wire it down to 1 ohm and get the full 1200 rms out of it. Has anyone had any experience with these amps, or would you recommend a different amp?
