anyone know how to tell the difference?

the amp is a hifoncszx7500 runnig 500x2 @2ohms the rms of the woofer is 1000. i think i am maxing out the amp. but how can i tell if i am doing that or maxing out the subs.

ok i have 2 12s each getting half there rms power. they get loud but here is my question. when i had a sealed box i used to be able to hear a woofer distort. what i mean is it would get loud enough to hear it start to sound shitty. not the woofers i have now, just in gereral. now i have a ported...

just an update: i ran my hifonics zx7500 bridge to one of the lanzar subs. it pushed it @ 1000 watts rms, give or tack a few watts. it hit almost as clean and loud as the two getting 500 watts a peice. i did notice that it was heating up so imho i would suggest anyone running these woofers...

ok so for shits and giggles i hook up 1 dual vc lanzar heritage 4ohm into bridged 2 channel zeus. i was getting 1000x1@ 4ohms. 1st of all it hit about as loud clear and hard as when i had the 2 hooked up getting 500 each. 2cd after 15 seconds of simallr voulme that i would give the 2 , i goes...

will do thanks. fyi its a 2 channel amp, each sub has 2 4ohm voice coils, i wired up each woofer +2+,-2- then into each channel. thats a 2 ohm load to the amp right?

on hifonics site it says the zx7500 can run 1000wattsX 1 @ 4ohms. right now i am runnig 2 12s dual 4 ohm wired parall to 2 ohms. so the amp is seeing 2 ohms pushing 500 by 2. how would i run one sub @ the 1000x1 4ohm load? would i just wire up 1 voice coil staight to the bridged amp? thanks in...

I dont think I have seen any reviews on these so I will post one. After much time spent reading and studying many different woofers I somehow choose these. The decision my have been a bit price motavated but at 139.00 for the pair on ebay I went for it. they are rated at 1000rms 2000 max I think...
