WTB: PPI Art Amps, M and AM series amps - ANY CONDITION

Try my hand at a pic.... I was thinking of the PPI nice quality vehicles of the early 90's, forgot about Almas physics experiment. I just remember PPI's nicely appointed usable interiors. Maybe a few thousand watts of clean pure sound & video. A high school classmate and good friend...

WTB: PPI Art Amps, M and AM series amps - ANY CONDITION

Wahaaa! The grass grows faster than my internet, but gotta couple vids up. Only had 11 PPI's and a couple are as nice outside as in. Caution, have a couple drinks before watching vids, It'll help smooth out the shakes. Top sides:

WTB: PPI Art Amps, M and AM series amps - ANY CONDITION

Have about a dozen 1st & 2nd generation PPI's to sell / trade towards early Orion. All works except one channel of a 2050. Cosmetics range the full spectrum. If interested I'd probably gather and video the group. Is the good Doc building say.....an old school 10k watt PPI SQ Astro van per...

Need info on an old school orion amp!!!!!

Neat amp for sure, not a cheater but a perfect amp for a collector. 6x20, 6x40 at 2 ohms, or 3 x 80 bridged at 4 ohms, built in 12dB / octave butterworth filter, active crossovers. All mosfet class AB output section. 110 dB S/N ratio. Good stuff. Whatever you do, I would not push a GT...

WTB Rockford Fosgate punch 150 amp

All I have left are wall trophys. A pair of 8 ohm Punch 18's from 1989. The surrounds disintegrated and somewhere lost the cone cap & coil assembly for one.

    Us Amps B-52(old school)

Lotta love for the 1st Gen US Amps, they put them on the map at the top of the pack. Id have this one if my truck project wasn't gulping down $ at a starving rate. From my US Amps brochure US-B52A: Monuaral high-powered subwoofer amplifier with two-way active electronic crossover and stereo...

    Vintage Hifonics 12" subs

Looks like the car audio HF's from the late 80's, early 90's to me. Only remember two flavors of subs pre '92, 4 ohm & 8 ohm. If I still had my vintage 1800w Collossus.... Nice subs, Good luck with sale.

    BHE Pre-Design Build - Double kerf ported enclosure for 2 12's (2tone)

Nice craftsmanship. Remembering a scenario like this got me into the design and construction of sub boxes over 20 years ago. The reality that the box has more to do with the sound than the sub. I'd imagine it sounds quite nice.

Orion old school 2150sx second gen digital reference rare + orion 200crx eq

Yep, liking these old school Orions for longevity. They used to say something like "Made to Military Specs", and the first generations of their amps were all individually tested & ran through their paces. (still got the brouchures) They've got more heatsink potential than my other favs...

Orion old school 2150sx second gen digital reference rare + orion 200crx eq

My roommate did both long ago. PPI A1200's on the back of a wall of six single reflex XTR 15's in an Astro van. The bandpass boxes kept the subs safe while the little girls were on board to the sound offs. Im going to try to keep an almost flat sealed wall of 16 15's safe from a wild 2 year...

Orion old school 2150sx second gen digital reference rare + orion 200crx eq

Looks good irie. Reminds me of the good ol days, carpet wrapped amp racks and walls of XTR's with the blue or red slash.

Orion 225 HCCA Unique Possibly 1 of a Kind Generation 1 Board Generation 2 Heat Sink

Neat amp. I'd bet it was one of a handful of switch over amps. Orion probably had a few of the 1st Generation guts left over when the original stickered heatsinks were used up. Nothing to do but put the remaining 1st Gen guts into 2nd Gen milled logo heatsinks. I never saw a beat up 225HCCA...
