Want to get some info on a orion 620 gt amp. I dont follow orion too much old or new school, but have heard from a few people that this is a pretty "rare" amp. Would like some imput from anyone that knows about this amp, also heard its a cheater amp. Anyonoe know anything about this amp? Is it any good? What can this amp push? Whats a good price for this amp? Let me know. Thanks in advance.

That generation was well sought after, yet that amp itself was not top of the food chain. Not really a cheater amp per say,but it is rare due to being a 6ch, and was the only one made during that era, that I can remember. It was rated at 11.6v, so you should see a bit more than the 20rms per ch at the 13.6v and some,as it has an unregulated supply.Safe to say 50rms,and very clean, very little TDH, around 0.02%.It would be a very nice amp to put on Mids and Highs, of approx 75rms,and excellent for those that compete in MECA.Depending on how clean your amp is, a collector may pay up to the $200 range as ebay.Be agreat amp for tweets, and midrange in an active setup.Throw some pics up of the amplifier,it is always nice to see a bit of history on here. Some one may even throw you up an offer? Never know

Neat amp for sure, not a cheater but a perfect amp for a collector. 6x20, 6x40 at 2 ohms, or 3 x 80 bridged at 4 ohms, built in 12dB / octave butterworth filter, active crossovers. All mosfet class AB output section. 110 dB S/N ratio. Good stuff. Whatever you do, I would not push a GT series hard. A couple 220GT's were the only amps I've ran that kept boomeranging back to Orion for repairs. If I had one now I'd only run doors at 4 ohms, get a GX or SX for the heavy work.

....except for the 2150SX, don't run those on subs. You'll want to PM me so I can run it on subs, still need a couple more ya see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
