CDT CL61a components installed -- review inside

1/2" thick panel... not 1". I made several different adapter plates out of various materials before settling on the 1/2" thick oak. I tried 3/4" MDF but it was too thick and would have caused the speaker surround to slam into a 6x8 oval bracing that Ford molded into the door panel. I couldn't...

CDT CL61a components installed -- review inside

First of all, I've had these components sitting in the box on my office floor for about a month and a half now I guess. It's been hard to find a weekend where I both (a.) had the free time to install them and (b.) had the desire to mess with it. In retrospect, had I known how much better they...

Um, it is a dome tweeter. You're not going to get any visible "cone movement" out of a tweeter.

    Fellow CDT CL61a owners... help!

I misplaced the documentation that came with the tweeters. Which lead is the positive lead and which is the negative? One has a red stripe and the other is just solid black. ****!

Some pics of my CDT CL-61 installation in progress

Will do. I ended up fabricating the mounting plates for the speakers today and called it quits afterward. Still have the Kicker K57.2 speakers mounted as "coaxials" in the OEM positions. Hope to finish up the conversion to the CDT speakers some night this week. I just ran out of energy and...

Some pics of my CDT CL-61 installation in progress

Click For Pics I am in the process of removing my Kicker K57.2 components and installing the CDT CL-61a components that I purchased a few weeks ago. These pictures show how I am re-using the stock Ford Mustang / Mach460 audio system tweeter pods to mount the CDT tweeters for a "stealth"...

PG LD66 Line Driver noise problem

That's what I would do. Anytime you amplify a signal, you're introducing some element of signal infidelity no matter what. Even the cleanest of amps do it.

    CDT CL-61 Question.

I've had a lot of unexpected projects come up this week which have in turn kept me from doing jack **** with my CDT components. I hope to install them over the holiday weekend.

    CDT CL-61 Question.

Did you get yours installed yet? I haven't. Been too busy with other projects around the house to actually get to it. Maybe today.

98 mustang amp install. need help!!

Firsrt and foremost, welcome to the Mustang family. I too have a 1998 Mustang. It's a GT. Very good car for the money and plenty of performance potential if you are willing to get your hands dirty and play with it some. If yours is a GT, definitely look into doing a 2002 head/cam/intake swap...

Need flush mounted clock to go along w/ Alpine Head Unit

Results of a Google search... http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_1403/browse.html Looks interesting. I bet you could just make a dress-plate with some ABS plastic and either surface or flush-mount that thing.

    Good SQ tunes

Any good blues recording will really test your sytem's ability to accurately reproduce practically the entire audible spectrum. I have been relying on Kenny Wayne Shepherd's Trouble Is album (CD of course) when tweaking my system lately.
