No reception? AM / FM Radio

I recently installed the head unit in my signature. For the first month or so I had pretty good reception but as of the last couple weeks I get one or two stations max. I've checked all the wires and everything seems good - fuses are fine too. Any suggestions?

    Single Voice Coil, 2 connections?

I have a pair of ID CX62's that are listed as single voice coil on the ID website. When looking at the speakers there is the + and - terminal on one side, and on the other side another set of metal connections. Am I find just wiring + to + and - to - and not worrying about the 2nd set of metal tabs?

Fiberglass How To's - New Links

The fiberglass how to thread is pretty dated and 80% of the links don't work anymore. Could anyone direct me to some good, detailed fiberglass how to's? Thanks!

Volksawgon GTi doorpod rebuild IDQ8D4 IB

Quick questions: how are you securing the pods to the door panels? *unrelated* - how's the infinite baffle sound?? Can you compare it to ported/sealed? I'll be following along. Your door panels are similar to mine and i'm looking to build pods around the same size. Nice clean setup btw

    noise through speakers

try running all RCA's freely through the car. This will at least let you know it's not the rca's picking up interference.

Speakers too big for door - Options

Not sure if this method would work for me. The speaker grills are not all that solid in my car. I wouldn't trust them to hold all that weight and not vibrate like crazy

Speakers too big for door - Options

I bought a pair of ID CXS62 Speakers and they're too large for the door. The magnet is just too large for the metal opening. In order to make them fit I'd either have to cut a larger opening in the door frame or make a huge baffle Cutting would probably be the easiest & best option...

how to properly measure hpf & lpf

filters tend to taper off so it'd be hard to figure out the tone exactly. I'm sure if you grabbed a CD of test tones you could measure with some accuracy

    Strange Feedback Issue

Ok so i finally figured it out. BOTH RCA's must be running over something causing the feedback. I first attempted to run one RCA through the cabin freely. I replaced one RCA at a time and had the same problem. The strange thing is I only get feedback when both RCA's are plugged in? This time...

    Strange Feedback Issue

I grounded the RCA's and there was a very slight improvement - barely noticable. Any other ideas? I've tried running the RCA's directly (not hidden) from the head unit to the amp with no improvement. I tried re-grounding the amp. I'm going to run a new power wire directly to the battery. Do you...

    Strange Feedback Issue

Feedback in Right front speaker - only when car is on - only when Subwoofer RCA's are plugged in. When i push on the gas pedal I get a 'squigly' sound - when the engine is running i get a high pitched buzz. I regrounded the head-unit and the speaker / rca's run on the opposite side of the car...
