Ok i gotcha, im pretty new to the scene so i was just wondering what was going on. I'm hoping the amp isn't defective, i do not think it is, im guessing that its just not that powerful. It should work pretty well with my subs as they are only a 1 ohm load.

to get any output at all we had to turn the gain all the way up...kind of silly in my opinion, i was thinking that his car might not have a sufficient enough electrical system to power the hifonics. he drives a tiny chevy aveo with a stock alternator. I believe it is like 70 amps.

I have a brand new Hifonics ZRX 1500.1D. Took my friend's amp out of his car because we wanted to test out the new amp. He has a 15 inch kicker i do not remember exactly wat it is. But anyway we hooked up the amp perfectly and the output was terrible. Fuses were good, turned on and everything...
