What are the feelings on Crescendo's speakers, partiularly the SC-650. They look good...but how do they sound. Price is right if they are half decent.

Solid sound suggestions sought. Stock speakers sub standard.

Not a lot of good brands to get from the stores around here, pretty main stream stuff. I'd like something a bit higher build quality.

The head unit I was planning on using is a eonon D1305...Sort of strange I know. I remember seeing someone on this forum a long time ago talk about them. I figured I'd try it out. The power to the front speakers is a KAC-646X. Something I had sitting around. 50 watts to 4 channels. I'll order...

In need of help with wiring diagram for subwoofers

That amp is ok with 2 ohms I believe. If each of your subs are single voice coil 4 ohms then wire them in parallel and you'll have two ohms. That means positive on your amp goes to the positive on each of your subs and the negative to each of the negatives on your sub. Amp + to sub 1 +and sub...

I have a 1999 honda CRV http://www.bodyshopzone.com/archives/trim/door_panels/Honda/CRV_1998/dphcrv02a_98_honda_crv.jpg There is an example of what my door looks like. There is potential for a tweeter at the top close to the mirror I figure. I'd like to use (or at least start with) the stuff...

    coax vs component

Thats what I was thinking, I wanted to see if anyone here though that having a tweeter impeding (in the way of) the woofer would make a difference or the tweeter would have some sort strange reflection off of the woofer. Thanks for input

    coax vs component

Fair enough, I guess I should have said, "for the most part....." Ok lets say you had a two home speakers, one with a coax one with a tweeter directly above the woofer, does the tweeter in front of the woofer change the sound? I know the radiation pattern will be slightly different, but will...

    coax vs component

Well when I said, "All things being equal, cross over, tweeter, and woofer, is there any advantage to getting a component over a coax other then the flexibility of woofer/tweeter placement." And you said "Component speakers are often made with better materials, handle more power, have...

Florida Car Audio Blog Archive Dash Speaker Enclosure Design This guys got an idea, maybe some PVC pipe some fiber glass and some sound deadening material combination would do the trick. Of course dashes are a pain to work with.

    coax vs component

I guess you missed the first part of the forum, I'm saying if all things being equal, materials crossovers etc. For example there are speakers that give you the option of coax and component placement of the tweeters. These are exactly the same speakers, so what is the reason you would place the...

    coax vs component

I know theres quite a few out there that let you use them as both, which is nice to have the flexibility. Why do you think components are better the coaxial, is there anything solid reason they are better (other then placement flexibility). Home speakers don't use coaxial, there must be a...

    coax vs component

All things being equal, cross over, tweeter, and woofer, is there any advantage to getting a component over a coax other then the flexibility of woofer/tweeter placement. Reason I ask is that I need a pair of speakers for my dash, its at about a 30 degree angle (from facing up), so I figure if...
