I have a 10w7 wired at 3 ohms to a jl 1000/1 amp. It's receiving 750 watts currently in a ported box made to spec for this sub. At medium-high volume the sub just starts making popping noises (still plays well). How can I prevent this? Thanks, Alex

I got a brand new jl 1000/1d amp a month ago, and hooked it up to a jl 12w3v2. I was bumping to it omw to class then all of a sudden it shuts off, then back on again, and kept doing that. I have a 12" JL audio 12w3v2 sub and a 1500w planet audio amp. When I turn my door speakers loud, my sub will get so quiet that i cant even tell its playing. It didn't do this until I had my friend tune the gain/frequency on the amp. Checked all my connections, even resoldered/connected...
