    4 10 inch subs or 2 12 inch subs

A sub's RMS power rating is supposed to be 'maximum' power handling, not a 'recommended' power level, or even what the subs 'need'. There's nothing magic that happens once you your amp's power output level reaches the power handling of a sub. There are plenty of good reasons to 'underpower' 2...

    kicker cvx 10s bottom out?

I think I established that bottoming out is very unlikely with 250W... if you've ever heard a sub getting a severely clipped signal, then you would understand why it might be confused with the sub bottoming out.

    kicker cvx 10s bottom out?

Yessir... that should do the trick.

    kicker cvx 10s bottom out?

I doubt you are bottoming out... probably clipping the piss out of your amp. Let me guess, bass boost maxed out? If the box is not optimum, building a new one would always help. But more power would probably take care of the clipping...

    quick question

Big surprise there... sounds like a bunch of f'ing idiots to me... don't take advice from them again.

    Need SQ sub ~$100

How small of a box are you talking about? The Dayton DVC12 does nicely in ~1 cu ft sealed... it only needs a couple hundred watts to get decent output, and is $115+ shipping. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=295-185 Or there's always the bang-for-the-buck champ, the...

    RE SE15 or Dayton HO15?

This is one thing that the Titanic MkIII has going for it: http://www.parts-express.com/pdf/295-420dumax.pdf Not a bad BL curve for an overhung design.

    RE SE15 or Dayton HO15?

Regarding WinISD and entering new driver data... You should start at the top... enter Qes & Qms, and then tab through Qts to let it auto-calc. Then enter Fs & Vas (make sure your 'units' are correct, i.e. liters or ft^3). Then enter Re & Sd, and let it auto-calc the rest of the...

    RE SE15 or Dayton HO15?

Double check your parameters... you've got something entered wrong. You should be getting a sealed -3 dB point of ~37 Hz, not 62 Hz. And ported shouldn't dip down around 60 Hz like your graph shows... that's an indication that your Qes or Qts parameter is entered way lower than what it should...

    RE SE15 or Dayton HO15?

How do I figure? Look at the specs... SE: Higher Vas & Higher Qts, as well as greater Xmax = better suited for large sealed enclosure HO: Lower Qts, and lower Xmax = better suited for ported And I agree that the HO will do nicely sealed, but 12mm linear excursion capability will be the...

    RE SE15 or Dayton HO15?

SE is better suited for sealed, HO is better suited for ported.

    ED vs. FI

Actually, it's 28.75mm... which is only 1.75mm more than your Q.

    how many amps?

Actually, unless you want the subs to completely drown out the rest of your system, I would suggest an amplifier to power the rest of your system as well.

    ED vs. FI

To get the same sealed alignment it's over 3 times. For a .707 Qtc alignment, you're looking at ~1.2 ft^3 for the 13" eD vs. ~3.7 ft^3 for 15" Fi. That doesn't mean you have to make the box that big for the Q, just doing an apples to apples comparison.
