I accidentally arched the terminals when i was installing my capacitor and got some sparks. Does this mean the cap is now discharged?

I just finished wiring my entire system, two amps, a sub, component set and a capacitor. But when i try to connect the power back to the battery all i get are sparks. I checked and double checked all my wires and they are correct. Any suggestions? I dunno if this could have caused the...

I have a 1 Farad Cap feeding 2 amps via a cap distribution block. The cap distribution block is attatched to the top of the cap. Do I need to put fuses after the cap? Should I put a puse just before the cap?

Do they need to be fused before or after the wire drop?

I have the standard fuse 12" from the battery and I am looking to switch to the "puck" style distribution block that sits on top of a capacitor. Do I need to add fuses after this or anywhere before it? Thanks a lot.

I guess they dont have it. All i see on the sides of the amp are: speaker left & right, crossover, gain, input left & right and "high level input" (no clue what that is). On the other side is the "REM" and power and ground inputs.

I am helping a friend set up a system in his explorer. He just got two 10's, and now he needs new speakers. I was considering amping the speakers so the bass doesnt drown out the highs. I was wondering what speakers will give the best overall highs for 5x7 or 6x8. Please help me out, Thanks.

there cant be becuase if i remove the amp and wire it before i added the amp, it produces sound.
