dont use body filler, it might pop! abs and other plastics expand/contract with heat and filler doesnt. go with the duramix. You dont need the mixing gun if thats whats turning you off.

they wouldnt protrude out further, and chances are the glass is going to separate from the plastic and thats an uglier seam, unless you rough the whole bottom section of the panel with some 80 grit and glass the entire section.

that might turn into a real headache. I like the no seam look also but its best to glass some bolts/studs as a part of the base and just have them removable.
