I am actually thinking for getting a pair of Type X. I am waiting to find out what the cost is on them (friend owns a local car audio shop) and I'll probably buy from him. I know there are better subs out there but I have the support from a local shop, and can get them really cheap. I'm hoping...
Sending my American Bass VFL-120.1 in to get repaired. They are only a half hour away, but super nice over the phone and it sounds like the guy can fix just about anything. Anyone have expierence with this place?
Update: I have decided to keep my broken American Bass VFL-120.1 amp. I realized that I live 30min away from the amp repair center and I can drop it off to them...lol. Anyway I think that amp will provide plenty of power for what I am trying to accomplish, and hopefully have good enough sound...
Cool thanks for the replies guys. I will definetly check out thoes subs....i was running American Bass xfl 12's and they pound nicely but are not close to being as accurate as the old solos I had so i just want to do it right this time. Should i stick with a sealed enclosure? Also I can get new...
I ran 2-12' back in the day run off of a ppi art series amp and they sounded really good...especially for rock music. I've been out of the scene for a while so what would sound like thoes? I don't have the enclosure or amp picked out yet but i would like to stick with 2-12's.
I have a American Bass VFL-120.1 and it works intermittent. Powers up just fine, sometimes works, when it's not working the power light is on, if I bang on tthe top of it with my fist it will work for a short time. Any Thoughts?
I left the stock wiring in except for the alt to the + battery. If it makes a difference I can add a additional run of 4ga from the alt to the + battery...because thats what was there before.
