Does sound proofing the car make a big difference?

Even the smallest amount of sound deadening helps. A few small patches here, a few there, and BOOM! The overall noise level in the car is that much less.

    Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro

After completing my sound deadening venture about two years ago I still wanted my car quieter. Less exhaust, less road noise, and just an overall quieter interior. So I set out in search of what to use and basically found three products, Second Skin's Luxury Liner, Vertex Mobile Sound Products'...

    eDead UE, my thoughts...

There has been some debate over what I did. The debate has more or less been over how the tests were done and who I am (contributing member and moderator of the Second Skin Audio forums), basically discrediting me as an impartial person. Like I keep saying, I get nothing out of any of this! I...

At least Rick isn't trying to pass Raammat off for something it isn't. Every test that I've ever seen on Raammat it measured up to the published specs. And at $1.75 - $1.90 you aren't getting ripped off.

    eDead UE, my thoughts...

Wow! I'm actually surprised (once again) that I wasn't greeted with name calling and profanity being thrown my way for doing what I did. Really appreciate it! I know my testing isn't 100% scientific or anything, but I think this shows real world results fairly well. Sure seems that way, but...

GETTING TECHNICAL: To get an accurate measurement of the aluminum facing (mylar/aluminum combo on the UE) I decided to dissolve the butyl off of both the products. 1" x 1" square of both eDead's UE and Second Skin's Damplifier Pro The two products placed in a specially marked dish How do...

    eDead UE, my thoughts...

TEMP TESTING: To start out with the heat test I cut out a 3" x 3" piece of each Damplifier Pro and UE. Eyeball thickness comparison. UE on top, Damp Pro on bottom. I will post actual measurements later. Then I went out and got a piece of scrap sheet-metal, cleaned it with some acetone and...
