Is 100x2 enought to Drive Dynaudio Ecotec?

Not so sure about this analogy. There are plenty of 15 year old honda 4 cylinders out there running like butta, while plenty of lesser quality 8 cylinders have kicked the bucket with far less mileage. Sure you can titrate your volume knob, but you are way more likely to run too much juice to a...

    Esotec System 242 GT - Dynaudio 6.5"

I am glad to see the last 2 posts above ^^ I went ahead and had the Dyn's put in, and they sound fabulous. Upon first listen, at the shop, I thought they sounded a bit flat, but after a couple of hours driving around with them, I realized I was wrong. They are just really transparant and...

Is it possible the have fixed that problem since you owned yours?

Is 100x2 enought to Drive Dynaudio Ecotec?

Are you saying that it is best just to get a ton of watts, no matter the speaker's rating? I thought to many watts would blow a lower rated speaker. I am pretty sure that the JL blew my BA's (something did anyway). I am thinking now that the Morel Tempo 6's would be better speakers for my amps...

Morel Tempo 6 Opinions - Sound Profile?

Sounds like 100x2 should be just enough to drive them then! I was worried, because my local guy wants to sell me some pretty $$ dynaudios that people say need a LOT of power--- I'm thinking 200x2 or something, and I am worried that my amp definitely won't hack that. Sounds like my 100x2 (to the...

    Esotec System 242 GT - Dynaudio 6.5"

I've seen that on the forums, and I am also trying to find out if my amp is sufficient to power these. (JL Audio 500/5, with 100x2 to the front).

    Esotec System 242 GT - Dynaudio 6.5"

Uggh, not another proponent of "why are you asking opinions...." Ok, Sherlock, I will explain. Yes, I can listen to these, but there are other brands out there I cannot listen to, and I'd like to know how they compare, via peoples opinions, who may have heard several. In addition, I may find out...

Title says it all. Heard the dyns can handle huge power, but will they perform with this modest amount (from the front channel of a JL Audio 500/5)

    6.5 bang for buck

    SPS-600 - Alpine Type-S 6-1/2"

Which Rainbows and do you like them? I am looking at Rainbow Vanadium Comps, and Dynaudios.

    SPS-600 - Alpine Type-S 6-1/2"

I was gonna throw a pair of these in the back of my 350z for fillers, since the speakers back there are hugh POS's. I know they are not the greatest, but I think they will be an improvement, and since I have a new pair laying around (never used for another project), I figured why not. Has...

    Esotec System 242 GT - Dynaudio 6.5"

Are these good speakers? And are they mellow and clear-- not middy and harsh like what I am replacing. I have been looking at different brands, including Morels and Rainbow Vandiums. But the place that is going to do the install recommends these (of course they also sell them). I figure, if...

Morel Tempo 6 Opinions - Sound Profile?

Cool....Littlepucker, let us know how the Morels work out. If they handle your 150x2, then my 100x2 should be ok.
