I'm having the dnx-9140 installed in a couple days. I was wondering if I should couple it with the alpine eq I have laying around. Would it help with more refined controls or would I just be adding in unnecessary piece?

I'm not ready to do an active setup yet, so it's not needed. Just a passive set of HSK165, with a pair of McIntosh amps and a IDMax10. A local shop is offering a DNX6980 for a pretty good price. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on that unit.
