Electrical help! I'm "shockingly" in over my head.

Also, any idea of I would run into any problems running a 1700watt system?

There's no two ways about it, after talking with my installer we've decided to put in only one amp and one sub, which leads me to the question, what kind of upgrades do I need to make when running only a 1400watt system?

I just finished looking it up. Unfortunately, because I have a newer model civic, the only way to reprogram the ECU is to buy a $1000 set up. :-P No thank you.

I've read something along those lines, but I haven't been able to make any sense of anything. I've also never heard any talk of anyone doing it on a newer model, like an 04. :-P Alas, I'll keep looking. Alright, so I need 2 fuses total or two for each battery? (I'm not doing the install myself...

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the 2 1800's. I figured if the 1400R would drop right in it would be easier, but oh well. I've never run a system with two batteries, what am I going to need to look into getting?

Nice. I like the fix. Will the KHC1400R fit right into the stock location up front or will I have to make some adjustments?

Isnt' adding additional batteries to the system supposed to make it harder on the alternator? Also, I'm talking to a guy at hondata about a way to bypass the ELD and let me put in a high output alternator. If I was able to do that, how many amps should the alternator I get be rated for both the...

Electrical help! I'm "shockingly" in over my head.

Well, I'm pushing Alpine 17pros in the front and Alpine SPR-69C's in the rear deck with an Alpine PDX 4.100 amp. The 2400 watt option has me running two 12" Alpine type x subs with two Alpine PDX 1.1000 amps. The 1400 watt option has me only running one of each. My alternator is rated 70 amps...

Another option. I just found out I have the ability to make my 2400 watt system a mere 1400 watt system, but make a good deal of moola in the process. Would I still be needing to make the same upgrades to my electrical if I put in a 1400 watt system instead? (I'm not ruling out the 2400 watt...

Sounds like a plan. Any recommendations on a good "AGM" battery?

Electrical help! I'm "shockingly" in over my head.

I'm going to be putting a 2400 watt system into a 2004 US Honda Civic Coupe. My question is this. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to keep a stock electrical system, also, due to my lovely Honda ELD I'm pretty sure I can not upgrade my stock alternator (though if anyone has a solution...

Sub crazy or am I crazy? Help out a first timer who just loves music!

No thanks. 1) I want the pdx 1.1000 so it'll stack with my pdx 4.100. 2) I haven't bought the pdx 1.1000 yet to begin with. :-P

Sub crazy or am I crazy? Help out a first timer who just loves music!

Okay, I just finished the first part of my build (listed at the end of this post) and it's time for some subs. Originally I was planning to put in an Alpine pdx 1.1000 amp pushing a single 12" Alpine SWX-1243D, but now I'm thinking I want more. So, what if on top of all that I got an alpine pdx...
