Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

Thanks a lot man you rock. Hate to do it but one more thing. When I am tuning the voltage of the channel, I am just playing a song. Do you recommend I download and use a tone/bass note test? Or is playing just a normal song just fine?

Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

It's a dB knob so I'd assume it's a bass boost knob. Should I just disconnect it then and dial the voltage in without it and run the amp that way? Thanks for all of your input

Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

So there is a slight tolerance, greatly appreciated, thanks. One more thing though, when setting the amp gains I tune my head unit to flat with no eq boosts etc. However, the amp has a wired bass control remote knob. So I want the remote knob turned all the way up to max when setting these gains...

Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

Well, I realized General Discussion probably wasn't the right place. So I tried to relocate it to the Amplifier section. The came accross this Help section and figured maybe this would be the best place for it. Thanks for your helpful response however. Let me guess, your next course of action...

Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

My two channel Rockford fosgate 700s has two gain knobs... one for each channel. Am I missing something here?

Volt tolerance when setting gain levels for two channel amp to drive one subwoofer.

I'm trying to take precaution here when tuning my new setup. I have a RF 700s two channel amp (700rms @ 4ohm bridged) and am using it to power a single Alpine 12" swr12d2. With my math, I come up with needing 52-53 volts bridged (26.5 volts per channel). My issue is.. I can't set each channel...

Head Unit won't detect flash drive?

Well I checked and the flash drive is already in fat32 format. I did browse through it some and all of the music files are wma. Is that an issue? Do they have to be mp3?

Head Unit won't detect flash drive?

Honestly I'm unaware of the recommended or required format my head unit prefers. I read a good amount of the manual but haven't came accross anything helpful. Is there a way I can check what the current format of the flash drive is by plugging it into my laptop? Because if I know what format...

Head Unit won't detect flash drive?

Hey, I've recently purchased and installed a new Pioneer AVH-X1700S unit. I ripped about 20 CD's on my laptop and transfered them to a new blank 8gb flash drive. When I plug the fash drive into the USB extension that comes from my head unit, it doesn't detect it or do anything. Is this a...

Two Channel Amp, Single Subwoofer, Gain Tolerance

I was under the impression that I needed 26.5 volts from each channel... Resulting in 52-53 volts when bridged. My question was... I can't get a steady reading from each channel. The reading fluctuates by a few volts. So is there a tolerance for the channels? I mean do they have to be exactly...

Two Channel Amp, Single Subwoofer, Gain Tolerance

I have it bridged into 4ohms running 700rms. My question was about the voltage setting tolerance between both channels.

Two Channel Amp, Single Subwoofer, Gain Tolerance

Hey guys, I tried reviving an old thread but it's closed. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/general-discussion/599249-am-i-damaging-my-type-r.html Didn't want to start a new one to poop in the General Discussion board but it is what it is. I just have a simple question. I'm running a RF 700s...

Am I damaging my type R?

Yes it's a two channel bridgeable amp. Rockford Fosgate 700s. Therefore I have to divide the voltage rating among the two channels. Ultimately resulting in the fact that I have to set each channel at approx. 26.5volts. My issue is the fact that I can't get a test tone to work on a cd in my car...

Am I damaging my type R?

Okay I'm irritated as hell right now. So I've downloaded test tones and burned 4 different cds. I've tried test tones from 4 different vendors and NONE of them work in my head unit. It's weird because, I've burned music and play those cds in my head unit just fine. But all these test tone cds...

Am I damaging my type R?

Thanks for verifying that for me. Sorry, I had meant 2800 units for the equation. Also one more thing, all I have to do is burn a test tone disc and I'm ready to do this. Is there any difference between using a 45hz, 50hz, or 60hz tone? Or will all give me the same result? Also one more thing...
