What If I was to just hook rca and remote from amp in trunk to new head unit without by passing? Factory amp gets signal from speaker wire and amp in trunk from rca? Would one not work if I hooked up new amp as normal?

Do I set gain to 44.7 volts for 1000w. Or 34.6 for 600w?

My quart ra1500.1 and going to be pushing soundqubed hds215 dual 4 ohm wired to 2ohms takes 600w rms and 1200 peak. Amp puts out 1000w rms at 2 ohms.

Setting gain with dmm. I have a 1000w rms amp and 600 rms speaker. Do I push the speaker to 1000w or do I set gain to 600 watts? Confused

Just did some research read these amps are commonly paired with the Alpine type r 15. 750 watt rms. One question should I get the dual 4 or dual 2 ohm type r? Wired down to 1 or 2 ohm? Seeing amp is rated at 1500 at 1 ohm and 1000 at 2 ohms my guess is dual 4 ohm coil?

What about something like these? Might not be true rms but always better to have bigger amp and have it dialed down correct?
