I had not opened the hatch in some time and problem started after that. I did ck the door switches with ohm meter (wires disconnected) And switches were fine. Turns...

Old School Rockford Fosgate Amp Question

    I'm confused a bit--------please explain the following: "150 watts RMS x 2 channels"---ok this makes sense. "500 x 1 channel at 4 ohms"---Is that 500watts rms or peak????? "240 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohm---So close to 500 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohms.....is this 500watts rms? If so that...

Old School Rockford Fosgate Amp Question

Wow!!! That is pretty awesome! I missed the 400-500 "RMS" comment!!!! Are these amps commonly referred to as underrated because they were rated at 12volts (typically) instead of around 14v? Seems like they would want to rate it for would it could put out from a marketing perspective...

Old School Rockford Fosgate Amp Question

Hey guys, have an old dinosaur (Rockford Fosgate - Punch 200ix) over here. Want to do a single 8" SA8 v-2 in a foxbody mustang (hatchback). Would like to do it ported in the 30-35hz range. Just wondering what it could push to this woofer. I've pasted below some information I found....is it...

Car Alarm problem---I guess I'm screwed?

Thank u for reply. Was 2 seconds away from pulling and throwing system away. Ended up finding pin switch for hatch unseated and cocked over to side keeping dome light on and causing alarm inop condition. Thanks again!

Car Alarm problem---I guess I'm screwed?

Bought a 1989 mustang with a car alarm. Pretty basic alarm---unlocks/locks doors, flashes park lights, shock sensor & siren. No markings on the brain what so ever. Stupid remote has no markings either. Worked fine for a few weeks. Push button and doors lock---1 beep. Push it again and...

Design for two 8's in a vented enclosure - 1998-2007 silverado extended cab

I've been considering a design similar to this but I don't want the speakers firing forward due to my kids. How about firing the speakers up or backwards? This guy (see link below) built a box with (1) 8" sub that fires at the back wall of the cab. I don't doubt the box works maybe it helps...

    My first thread----HELP!

Oh, I wasn't sure. A guy I know said the sound deadner will absorb a lot of the bass so he told me to remove it. I wasn't sure --- glad I asked.

    My first thread----HELP!

I guess the age of these speakers are showing my age..... I'd rather not mess with raising the seat unless it will give me a decent gain down low? If so, I will raise the seat an 1.5"... Last question, I was planning to point the speakers at the floor with the sides and front of the box...

    My first thread----HELP!

LOL! I just did that because I forgot to include the space for the speaker clearance in my last post! Too much in a hurry. So sealed it is! What air space should I shoot for as I can't find any specs for these speakers? Thanks.

    My first thread----HELP!

Hey guys, Per my previous replies, I screwed up on my initial measurements (actually math-LOL). I only have about .81 cu/ft to 1.05 cu/ft per speaker to work with. Depends on if I want to raise my seat. Based off of that, I'm assuming that I can only do a sealed box design???? I would like...

    My first thread----HELP!

You're absolutely right! When I went back and ckd, I realized what I did wrong. Looks like I have 1 cu/ft max. More like .86 if I don't raise the seat. I was allowing 1.5" speaker to floor clearance. Do you think that is enough? I can sink them into the enclosure if necessary to gain a...

    My first thread----HELP!

WOW!!! So someone has heard of these speakers! LMAO! I can't find anything on the net about them and no one seems to know anything about them. Of course I probably haven't been asking the right people until now I was getting the impression that they were some junky no name 20 dollar...
