    Need input.

I forget where I seen that post on the RF "heat issue"... which may have just been more of a bad install location when I think of it. I think I seen some dynos of a SKar amp meeting power (I think, I'd have to go review on YT)... but I know also that just because it can meet power, doesn't mean...

    Need input.

Thanks for the input. I get something funny when I look at the description on Amazon for that amp: If the amplifier’s output, that is connected to the woofer, provides DC current, instead of an AC music signal, HEAT is produced - instead of music. This heat burns the voice coil and destroys...

That's the kind of thing I'm looking to find out here. I'd rather not invest in junk. (The only dyno I've seen on YT for the picasso nano was for the pn4.520D 4ch from a place that sold them, and unfortunately it was just the dyno shown so I or any other viewer can't tell 100% it was the claimed...

Very small trunk, what are some good sub applications?

Final decision lies in how much space you'' give up for the subs. If not much, you're stuck with shallow mounts, which will do more for SQ than SPL If you want to give up a bunch of space, your options open up some

    2ohm vs .5 ohm

The loss of bass jumping from .5 Ohm to 2 Ohm is as laughable as buying a 21,000W amp that has a 1A fuse. Impedance has nothing to do with frequency response. If an amp is rated 20Hz - 20kHz, it will cover it completely over whatever load is connected, if its there. The lower the impedance, the...

Audio system upgrade, mini one 08

I assume this means you have the 6 speaker model and not a 14 speaker model? Rockfords are a solid choice of speaker, nothing wrong with them at all. As to amps, well... I wish I could help you a bit more, but I'm across the pond, and don't really have access to Euro amps to make suggestions...

Hey everyone, It's been a bit since I've actually posted.... I'm looking at doing an upgrade to my current vehicle and want some input on this. Looking for improvements that won't bend the budget. Power Amp just might be the exception. Right now I'm looking at the following for a '06...

    Best 6"x8" speakers you've heard....

I'm not looking to break the bank on rear fill but I need something with great performance (good bass, even mids and treble) at the cheapest possible price to stick in my rear deck. Input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Looking for Speaker advice.

I don't know much about the MDF adapter rings, but those being offered by AutoToys (Metro 82-4200) are the adapters I have, and they only work for bottom mount. They also practically kiss the metal springs leaving no room for the speaker. I'll see what I can find out from those guys on eBay...

    Looking for Speaker advice.

The Almani PCS-69 speakers look like they are what I'm looking for (good solid bass, and overall good sound,) but I wasn't thinking component speakers for anything, and was just going to power the speakers with my HU. I don't want to invest too much into this car, but do value quality and sound...

    Looking for Speaker advice.

OK, I'm looking to upgrade speakers, get rid of the OLD Sony Xplodes and possible factory in-door. (I have Pioneer TS-A698's just sitting in the openings of the rear deck for improvement from the Xplodes that were there.) The biggest aggravation I've had so far in my own research has been a few...

Looking for Advice on a good, but inexpensive, HU

SubZero, I can look on eBay easy enough, but I want to know all my options here... as in Similar models that may be better, or if this is the best I can get with the given features near this price point. Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, etc.
