I have a punch 360 watt amp. I'm gonna buy 1 JL 12W3. I'm new to car audio. I don't fully understand the ohms. What does it matter and what is recommended? I don't want anything to blow my alternator or whatever. Just a little bit a rumble in the trunk.

I have a JL 12W3 that I had installed in my 96 chevy lumina. When it hit, my lights would dim. I now have an 07 Fusion. I haven't installed my sub yet. Do you think it will make my lights dim? Someone told me it was just because my car was old. But I don't want to mess up my alternator if I...
