My first PC was a 486 DX2 50MHz. I think it had like 2mb RAM and 40MB hard drive or something. Then, I bumped up to a Pentium Pro 200Mhz... Pentium II 350MHz... Athlon XP 1GHz... P4 2.4 (current)... Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz (coming this week)

Vista isn't that bad. It takes a power user a little time to get used to. They made the OS more "intuitive", but geared towards no-tech folks. So, it seems to take more clicks to get places than it did in XP. But, I'm still new to Vista, so I'm sure that will change soon enough.

After viewing the test results, it looks like the AMD has floating point calc advantage over C2D (almost double), but the C2D > AMD in everything else.

And, I just wiped up the puddle of drool off the desk from looking at this SWEET dual 22" widescreen setup (2 Samsumg SyncMaster 226BW). This is the first dual monitor setup I've used and I am in awe.

I'm all for the don't ask don't tell policy. With a collection like the one in that eBay listing, I would be hard pressed to part with it. What if your hard drive fails... what if your backups get corrupted. Now you have 1200+ albums down the drain. That's the only thing keeping me from...
