I have a buddy that has a 12 inch type s in a prefab ported box and its blown the side off of it a couple of times, he got a new amp and box for it and ended up blowing it so now hes planning on getting a 12in type x so im interested to see who thats gonna sound, Thanks for the help!

Im looking for loudness, but i also want it to sound good, and the amp i have puts out 1400w rms at 2ohms and 2000w rms at 1ohm, if i wire it to 2ohms would the amp be putting out to much for the speaker to handle? i dont want to blow it right after i get it

Hey guys i currently have a 97 ram 1500 extended cab, i have all new pioneer speakers and a pioneer head unit, I purchased a Hifonics BRX2000.1D to power my older kicker solobaric L7 in a ported box, its running at 2ohms right now, its loud and sounds good but certain notes it doesn't hit right...

4 pioneer speakers it came in a package with the head unit I bought it yesterday, 2 3 way 6x9 and 2 2 way 6.5, we hooked up the two 6x9s and drive to advanced auto to get fuses and played them and they played awesome, then we hooked up the back ones and now all 4 will just cut out and won't play...

I bought a package today that came with a pioneer head unit and 2 6x9s and 2 6.5s and I hooked up the two 6x9s and it sounded good then I hooked up the other 2 and now when I play it all 4 speakers cut out and stop playing but the sub keeps playing then they will cut back in and cut out again...

I paid 180 for it in the enclosure, the amp he had was an audison

He didn't have many that would power the sub right but the only one he had was a top of the line amp it was like 500, I don't remember the name tho, and I didn't want to spend more then 200 on the amp

Okay thanks! He told me that it was 1000w rms, right now I have a crunch ground pounder 700.2 and it sounds nice but way under powered, but the amps the guy had were rediculous in price so I just went with that for now, how will it sound if I have the current wattage going to it

Today I purchased a kicker l7 15 inch subwoofer in a ported box, it's one of the older ones so I'm not entirely sure what the specs are for the sub all the guy told me was its dual 4 ohm, I also would like to know what kind of amp is recommended Here is a picture of it:
