Which Subs Should I Run With a MTX 81000d Amp?

If you want to be really loud and don't mind being unoriginal, you can go with two kicker l7. Either 12 or 15, whichever your preference. If you're more of an SQ guy, think about maybe a single w7...

Suggest a system for me.... 96 tahoe

It all depends what you want to go with, and how much you want to drop. Here's a nice little wish list: Memphis Belle 5 ch. ID Max Boston Acoustics Speakers As for the deck, the Alpine 7894 or 7893 (I think these are the numbers) both do mp3 and all sorts of other good stuff. One of them...

    Are the JL500.5 worth it?

Me too. The two seperate amps can be had for a little less. Plus you'd get more sub watts. I was wondering something about your 500/5. The specs for the sub channel are as follows. 250w rms @ 1.5-4 ohm. Assuming that it would run a one-ohm load, each of your 10s would only be getting in...

I can't believe that we're having a discussion on good alternatives to a w0 and no one mentioned IDQ. I've got two 10 v1d4, and they're awesome. Can't imagine what three of em would sound like...

Open windows = Morw bass. WHY!?!?

Depends on the car. My car has bad aerodynamics (Chrysler LeBaron) When the windows are down, the wind coming in is loud as hell! My stereo is louder and clearer with the windows up.

    Fiberglass under rear seats?

I'm interested in making a new enclosure for my 1992 Camry. I'd like to get some decent bass into the passenger area, and I'm against cutting into the doors, or other metal parts of the car. What I was thinking was utilizing the dead space under the rear seats. If the area could be hollowed...
