    Nakamichi CD700II install

ok here are some preliminary pics. i spend a few hours fiddling with the mounting lastnight. the cage is staying but i clipped the latch hooks for the headunit, and removed the side clips on the HU. I also trimmed the bezel ... i took off 7mm. my plan is to drill a few holes in the cage and...

    Nakamichi CD700II install

ok so with it in the dimensions appear to be ok, besides how much it hangs out. That apparently is the REAL problem. they designed it to NOT sit flush, which really irritates me as there is plenty of room in back to allow it to be flush mounted. So now my question is, has anyone FLUSH MOUNTED...

I'm just getting started on the install... but i went to test fit the head unit and it appears to be smaller than DIN size??? is this possible? its also ridiculously long, making it stick out, and not be flush. i can resess it into the dash, but im not sure about making it fit flush. the trim...

questions about my 2 nakmichi cd500's

yeah id admit they are a little "girly" or whatever... IDK i havent done much to mine besides putting really wide tires on it, lowering it/stiffening it up, and the front and rear lower air dams, but it definitely looks alot meaner than it used to. all in all i have to say of everything ive...

questions about my 2 nakmichi cd500's

are you serious? you have a grand prix and youre giving me a lesson on cars? so youre driving something like this: which cant accelerate, cant go around a corner, cant brake, has suspension like my grandmothers mattress, and an interior filled with more cheap plastic than my recycling bin...

questions about my 2 nakmichi cd500's

yes above 400hp the motor IS a weak link as you need high levels of boost to go much further. thats why the second FD that i own (that im currently building now) has a 3 rotor engine (20b) which is 1.5x the displacement... so higher horsepower levels are possible now without risking detonation.

questions about my 2 nakmichi cd500's

yeah, both antennas are hooked up correctly (tripple checked). i also have a bose setup in the 7 so if the wires were switched it would power down my amps in CD mode and id have no sound. also, there is no illumination wire in either of the harnesses (however nakamichis website tells me that...
