Loudest system in my town is this WW2 vet that drives around with an air raid siren bolted down on his dash that he starts cranking on, sounds like a tornado siren.

If you go with the 500/1 you just need to make sure the ohms are between 1.5 and 4 and the power will be regulated. I would go with something that gave me around 2 ohms in case I went with a different amp that did not have regulated power in the future.

I have 2 JL 10W3's and have been very impressed with them. I had one 10W7 before which was great but the two 10's are definately louder and still have great SQ. There is more surface area on two 10's than on one 12. Roughly the surface areas of two 10's is 157in. as opposed to 113in. for one...
