I am looking for a completely enclosed sub like my home sub for the back of my expedition. I like how my home sub sounds and the sub would be protected inside the box with only a port for an opening. Is this a bad idea?

The one I had was not dark, it was a white clear face, compleatly transparent so you could see the LEDs and wires. Seems it may never be seen again.

Yep, just bought the CX201 and the CX501 has the switchable illumination. Mine will be blue, with a green illuminated dash......... Crap. I may try to cover the inside of the lens/screen in a fine yellow film to make the blue light appear green. Or may open the face and see if I can swap...
