My gain has always been set a little past half. And it was working fine then all of a sudden while I was driving just turned off. So now I'm wondering why now all of a sudden would my remote wire voltage be bad?? Is this something that could be fixed with adding another battery, big three upgrade?

Seem to have found the problem. I guess I'm not getting adequate voltage from my remote wire. When I run the remote wire directly from the amp to the positive post on my battery my amp would turn on with the power light lit up as usual. After doing some research hifonics suggest adding a relay...

So I hooked up a friends 600watt amp and it worked. Finally some sound from my sub! So I took it off and connected mine again and it the power light turns green and kinda flickers a bit but finally stays on, but I still don't have any sound coming from my subs when I connect mine.

Disconnected everything and reconnected now the Hifonics lettering lights up blue but the power nor the protection light up...

No, not at all.

Completely shuts off but the power light is still on, the protection light is off. And yes, the amp was the one making the noise. Last night it came back on all of a sudden then I turned it up and cut back off.

And it shut off again....

No, not that I saw. I just turned on my car about 20min ago and it came back on... Weird... Now I'm really confused.

Ok, so I have a Hifonics Brutus 2400.1 amp pushing a soundqued Hdc3 12" and it has been playing fine when all of a sudden today it cut off then I heard weird noises from my amp. Could my amp be blown?? Or could it be something else? The power light still comes on when I turn on the car. Any help...

They're Db drive. I read online that the big 3 upgrade just pulls more juice from alternator.

Thank you. I wish the shop where I had the install done would have mentioned something about the different LOC options available. They also kept saying that my amp wasn't big enough to push the subs and they recommended I purchase something around 2400rms in the future. Is this true?
