    Setting gains with LOC

How do I measure it out of the LOC ? It's just RCA hookups. Where do I put the probs ? I'm familiar with doing it for the speaker wires + - but I'm lost on the RCA thing. Thanks, Matt

    Setting gains with LOC

What would be the the best way to set the amp gains when using a line out converter ? Which should I set first, amp gain or LOC gain? Should I let the amp do most of the work an just barely have the LOC gain turned up ? I know using a LOC is less than desirable but I need to keep the factory...

    Component ????'s

worthamterrence, I had the Infinities in my 87 Grand National and replaced them with the Rainbow components. I put the woofer in the doors, mounted the tweeters on the a-pillars. The dash location cause too much reflection in our cars. My rear deck speakers are faded so soft that you can only...

    Need Ideas for budget setup

First, this is for a buddy of mine. He wants to do a budget ( $1000 ) setup for his new Ford F150 King Ranch Supercrew. His goals are sound quality in side not something you hear two blocks away. He wants some sort of sub enclosure preferrably a stealth look under the rear seat with 1 10" SQ...

    Good 5.25" Component set

Rainbow SLC I bought a set from 6spdcoupe awhile back and they sound great (especially considering they are the 5.25" ) They may be slightly over your budget ( by about $20 ) but well worth it. Matt

    Sql sub

Guys thanks for the replies. How does this sub rank among the IDQ and RL-i http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1993 A buddy has this one and I can get it for cheap but if it's not a SQ sub I'll pass Matt

    Sql sub

I'm looking for suggestions on running one 10" sub. I want sound quality not so much loudness. The sub would see up to 300 - 400watts @ 4ohms. I listen to mostly rock, NO rap, some jazz/fusion. I want real tight bass, not boomy bass. It will be in a sealed box. Budget would be under $200. If it...

    Wiring DVC Sub

If you wire a single dvc sub as a 2 ohm load, 4 ohm load , or a 8 ohm load would the power getting to them be cut in half as the ohms load goes up??? ( ex. 1000watts @ 2ohms, 500w @ 4ohm, 250w @ 8ohms ) If so, would there be any advantage to getting a single dvc sub over a svc sub if the amp...

    Rainbows power underated???

camry_tuner That's why I was asking. If I use the gain tutorial on this site I need to figure out the wattage for the speakers. I was thinking of setting the gains based on 100w. Matt

    Rainbows power underated???

Recently bought a set of Rainbow SLC 230 ( thanks 6spdcoupe ) and they are rated at 80w rms and 120w max. I often see people saying they can handle more and they are underated. What would be a safe amount of power to give them??? If it matters I can supply them around 120w but don't want to...
