is it possible to wire two dual 2 ohm subs below a 2 ohm load on an amp? i'm very confident in my wiring but just curious.

    amp cutting off

haha, don't think i'll be doing that anytime soon. i know close to nothing about the internals of an amplifier but thanks alot for trying to help. i'll post some information on how things go when i upgrade the power and ground...and then i'm sure that won't help so i'll post what happens with...

    amp cutting off

i measured 14.3 volts at the amp but can't see what happens when the bass hits because all it does is click on and off. screw it, i'm sending it in for the warranty and if the same problem happens with the new amp then i know it's me and not the amp.

    amp cutting off

i don't think i'll be adding anymore batteries to my car, because it doesn't have the room (350Z). i guess my only option now is to upgrade my power and ground to 2 gauge and see if that makes a difference.

    amp cutting off

yes the amp is 2 ohm stable, that is where it makes the "1000" watts hence it's name. the subs are dual 2 ohm. voice coils are in series and the subs are in parallel.

    amp cutting off

nope...the amp shuts off well before the amp is even warm to the touch. also the same thing happens with my windows down in 70 degree weather and the amp is mounted with great airflow. also the amp would go into the clicking mode and i could turn it off for 4 hours and try again and it would do...

    amp cutting off

i have a weird problem that should be simple but i can't seem to fix it. i have a kicker zx1000 amp running two 10's (cvx's) at a 2 ohm load. the ground is fine and i'm running 4 gauge power and ground. the amp will play for about 20-30 minutes strong and then i start to here a clicking sound...

    amp (clicking) problem

snoop is right..but still not sure why this wouldn't work correctly...now i need advise on setting up a relay from the battery.

    amp problem

found the problem...the amp is cutting off because of a low voltage from the remote wire but it is hooked up correctly. i guess i need to do a relay system from the battery but for now i'm thinking about running the remote directly from the battery just so i can listen to music. is this bad? i...

    amp (clicking) problem

ok, so there is a noticeable smell coming from the amp so i guess it's fried. what are the chances that it's a defect in the amp? i really don't want to get another one and have the same thing happen. this sucks

    amp (clicking) problem

no, protect is not on. it was for a little bit right when i installed it but then went away and it worked fine. when wiring the subs to put the dvc's in series you wire the positive and negative from the same coil to each other right? not a positive and negative from different coils? i'm...

    amp (clicking) problem

just hooked up my amp and it worked at first but had a voltage problem which caused it to click off at loud volumes. the problem is now to the point that the amp clicks about every second at low volumes so i just unhooked the amp until i can find a solution. also the amp shuts off in the middle...

    amp problem

remote is good rca's are good...don't see what could be wrong with the power wire and the weird thing is it was working for a day before this happened. my speaker wiring should be right. i have the subs (2 ohm dvc) coils in series and then the subs in parallel to put a 2 ohm load on the amp. to...

    amp problem

ok, so now i grounded it to a good spot but it hasn't helped. the problem is actually getting worse. now the amp is constantly making a clicking sound and then turning off every once in a while. i can also hear a weird noise inside the amp. could this be a faulty amp? i got it from...
