I have a 2001 is300 with factory 6x9s and I just put my dmm on them and they read 4.8 ohms each and also read 4ohm on the magnent. If yours is newer they might have switched their setup but you can still tell with a multimeter and if yours are like mine (4ohm) id run wire straight from the deck...

just curious what did you have hooked up to the amp. also what amp fuse is in it. thanks

yeah i was thinking about running it off of one cannel at 3 ohm (my dmm reads 3.7 at the box terminal)

I have a diamond audio d6 1000.2 and a jl audio 18w6. Gonna wire sub to 12 ohm then bridge the amp so each channel will see 6 ohm. The sub is 500w rms not really worried about it getting full power right now because im getting different subs but just wondering how the amp and sub will handle...

if you add a battery make sure the front battery is the same at least spec and age wise. research everything before you do it and make sure you get creditable advice. good luck

what head unit are you using? tsunami wire is ok to use. those subs and that amp should match up well wired to 1ohm but if your still using your factory highs off the oem deck that bass is gonna dround them out terribly also look into doing the big three (research it) good luck with the build

i knew a guy who had 4 of them running off two 500rms amps in a cobalt and was hittin the high 140s to low 150s but his box was so big he had to take out his back seat. id buy em and sell two of em with that box and take that money to build a new box for 4 of em and wire those to 2 ohms on that...
