A future tip, if both cables going to the battery are red, mark one with a black sharpie so there's no confusion. Do it on the underside of the wire if you're worried about show value or whatever.

If the alt is 100amps or over you should be fine. Anything smaller and you might want to upgrade if you have the money.

ehh I'm not gonna have any time during winter break really. Going skiing right as I get out. Then deer hunting, christmas with the fam, more hunting, new years, duck hunting. So yea If I would've known a few weeks earlier I prolly could have done it over fall break.
