Well, I found the problem. Turns out the rear speaker tweeter post had vibrated loose. Pulled the back plate off, pulled the screw and reinstalled with some locktite. It's been working for a few months now, so the sound must have been coming from the tweeter post vibrating.

That was a bit harsh, and was not at all helpful. The sound is coming from the door speaker, not the subs. I'm not under the impression that my system is the hottest on the block, nor did I ever brag about it like it was. You may not have meant to sound like an "a$$" but you sure accomplished it...
