i have scribbled some figures together and this is what i came up with, however i think these number would only work for a sealed box.
Height: 14inch
Width: 37inch
Top Depth: 6inch
Bottom Depth: 9.5inch
And if my calcumalations are correct that gives 2.32cubic feet in volume???
Is this...
is there any chance someone who is willing to help me design the box full on could shoot me an email to give me a hand thanks. i will most likelyy be getting it built professionally, but i would like to take some plans into them to show them what i want.

Sealed, with a max depth of about 8 inchs with an angled back if that helps. i tried looking on the alpine site and the owners manual on the alpine site and i couldnt find much info at all regarding the recommended enclosure size for them. if you could get a link for me that would be great?
Thanks
Box Dimensions are:
Width 19inch
Height 14inch
Depth 9inch
Question, how did u attach the 2 pieces together to make it 1 inch? just glue with some nails spread through the middle and surrounding sides, or something more complicated?
Can anyone tell me how much affect 12mm mdf would make a difference rather than 19mm in the making of a subwoofer box. Sound Quality Wise? I am looking at putting in 1 Type R Alpine 12inch Sub
Thanks
Richard
thanks, is there anything you could tell me what i must avoid or what is an essential to do, i will not be installed the stuff myself, just making the box, which i will probably make without the hole and get the fella who is installing it to cut it to fit.
i did and i have had no replies, my problem is, the standard depth to boxes is too deep for my car, so i was wondering what sort of affect cutting the depth back and extending the width would have to the sound quality?
I am looking to put 1 alpine type r 12inch (SWR1242D) in my own custom sub box, what do people think to these dimensions and would the reccomend me doing something different. the major constraint is really a depth of about 11 inches
Height: 14 inches
