    wiring speakers

I have a Pioneer CD head unit model# DEH-14. It is four channeled and is 45 watts per channel. My quesytion was; how many speakers can I connect directly to each channel of the internal amp of the unit??? I was planning on connecting three 6.5" 3 ways and two 2" tweets per channel for the rear...

    box measurements

I'm thinking of building a box for a 15" and the size for a ported box is 3.4 cu. ft. I came up with 18" high-15" wide-and 22" long. Can anyone tell me if these measurements are right. I multiplied the above three numbers and diveded them by 1728 and came up with 3.4375 cu. ft. By the way, the...

wiring an amp to two 12's

I still have the same amp(4 ch) 1800 watt Pyramid and now have two Legacy 1200 watt dual voice coil subs and want to know what would be the best way to wire them? If I bridge the amp to two channels and connect each channel to each sub, that would give me a 4 ohm load right? O.K., if I wire from...

    Audiobahn Amp question, please help

This wiring will give you a 1 ohm load. Just make sure you have the power to run at such a low ohm or you will have power/current problewms and can damage your amp and subs. Good Luck!!

    Audiobahn Amp question, please help

First of all your amp is1 channeled. Your subs are dvc at 4 ohms each coil. If you wire in parallel to one coil and connect to the other coil from that same sub that would give you a 2 ohm load right. Ok, if you wire in parallel from that coil to the other subs coil that would give you a 1 ohm...

    Audiobahn Amp question, please help

I have to say that Audiobahn is really a top brand out there and their specs speak for themselves. I have a book and their top of the line amps are2400 watts(A2300HCQ),2 channel high current amps rated at 300 w/ch @ 4 ohms stereo, 600 w/ch @ 2 ohms stereo, and 1200w @ 1 ohm stereo, and 2400 w @...

    Power problem

I also agree with crispy highs and jmac. Get an alternator with enough power(amps) and if you want to be safe, check your gauge of power/grounds and if you plan on more amps another cap wouldn't hurt. If you don't have a distribution block/fuse holder, those help out too. It's not about how...

Maybe it's just that my amp is new and 1800 watts(but I don't think it comes close to pushing that much. Maybe about 600, but it doesn't drain my battery either and I don't need to upgrade any electrical either.

    wiring an amp

I have an amp(4 ch) and is bridged to 2 12's that are svc in a dual bandpass box. How can I get more power(dB's) to pound harder with what I got? The 12's are Legacy(500 watts each) and the amp is a Pyramid amp(1800 watts).

    wiring an amp

I have a Pyramid 4 channel amp with electronic cross overs and is 1800 watts(PB1860) and are pushing two 500 watt(each) 12's Legacy's that are also svc in a dual bandpass box(ported). I have the amp bridged. Is there a way to get more wattage by wiring the amp or the 12's differently? Do I need...

    wiring

I know have a 800 watt amp that is pushing a 10" in a dual cavity box and I also have a 250 watt amp that is stable to 4 ohms and I wanted to know if I can connect 4- 6 1/2", 4 tweeters, and 2- 4" to it. The amp is a 2 channel. If I can, how would I hook them up to the amp?

    box size

I replaced two cheap 10" with two 10" Jensen subs DVC at 4 ohms/coil (model sx1010). My problem is that the two cheap ones seemed to hit a little harder than the Jensens did. Do I need a bigger amp or do I need a different box, and if I do, what kind of dimensions do I need to max out my subs...
