direction of box in a truck and a car?

I actually found a video that is exactly the same potential as my subwoofer. on the lows my tassel does the exact same thing. (when it is moving slightly) but when the sub hits another note the tassel goes crazy... my subwoofer does not push my tassel to dance like his does except for on the...

direction of box in a truck and a car?

This is just an off the wall question trying to figure out why my 12 is not matching to my friends 10 In every car system I have ever seen the subwoofer box has always had the sub facing out the trunk, why is it reversed in a truck? It seems like in a car the woofer always hits a lot harder...

    Ported or sealed?

The box happened to be the exact same size the kenwood recommends. I would take the subwoofer out, knock the port trails out that were build it in. Cut the wood that came with the trail and fit it in the port hole. and wood glue it in place. 4ohm

    Ported or sealed?

So, closing my port should hit me in the chest more and make the tassel dance? especially in a single cab ranger. The only reason I am so skeptical is because I had a 10" sealed sony xplode before my kenwood and it hit... terribly.

    Ported or sealed?

Well I noticed ported is much "louder" but you can't hardly feel it. I mean it shakes the truck and makes the back flex. But It barely moves the tassel or the mirror. Its not very jumpy either.

    Ported or sealed?

I promise I have looked all over google not exactly on these forums, but I would just highly appreciate personal opinions! I have been searching for that feeling from bass and have not found it =/ by the way it is a single cab 1999 ford ranger.

    Ported or sealed?

I am running Alpine MRP-M500 amplifier Kenwood Excelon 12" woofer Alpine head unit. I have a fierce audio slim style box that I bought from bestbuy, it is currently ported. it does give me loud bass that I am highly satisfied with, however I have noticed in other cars with one 10" woofer...

2 subs blown in less than a month

It would still underpower the sub by rms even.

2 subs blown in less than a month

It would make no sense to turn the settings down 1400w sub VS. 1000watt amp. It should be able to push itself at whatever volume I want it to. I would think.

2 subs blown in less than a month

could you explain how lower watts cause clipping please? Me and my dad hooked this system up, he is 27 years autocraft and both bestbuy and my local car audio shops say it is hooked up correctly. As far as the power wire I just ran red to the pos. battery and through my firewall to the amp...

Under seat amp mounting single cab 99 ranger

So I will have to suspend the cushion off the amp so it stays cool. There is no vents, its open all around, the seat sinks in more though since it is a 99

Under seat amp mounting single cab 99 ranger

It hits fine for me, I am only 18 myself. So you know, a little bass here and there is awesome to just drive around on. I appreciate your help! one last question, did you mount your amp under seat? I noticed you had an s-10. so the seating would be small truck similar.

Under seat amp mounting single cab 99 ranger

Of course, I am going to keep a few hundred dollars put back until this one blows if it does. I am pushing it about 77%. If it does I will buy a rockford. no sense in wasting an amp that works right?
