Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

That's what a good instructor will notice first is the stance and posture. I seen instructor not telling the student that they are hitting a like baseball bat. Students are moving their whole body and swinging with their arms. I seen it on the range many times and I just wanted to tell them...

Odyssey and the Mizuno are two different type of putters because of the insert. Odyssey has a softer feel because of the insert and Mizuno is harder compare to the Odyssey. I would suggest you go to a golf store and demo them. Check out Edwin Watts or Golf Galaxy in your area.

Same putter but different hosel. Some hosels are more offset, long, or shorter than others. I really liked those putter. Mizuno made by Bettanardi are high quality but not as high as the original Bettanardi.

I was at the qualifier for The British Open last week at Gleneagle Country Club. Matt Kuchar shot a 63 and 66 the same day. Only 8 spot was open and there was some top golfers there like Davis Love III. It was really nice to walk the course with Matt and get really close to the golfers...

Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

It's not the quantity that count. Once you know how to fix your slice, one large bucket of practice is enough. With one large bucket of balls, I would hit like five different clubs. Start with the shortest irons first and then driver should be last because so you won't get tire first.

I'm suprised that no Golfsmith is in San Antonio. Golf Tec is a good place to get lessons and they are located in Austin and Houston Golfsmith stores. In the DFW area there is a lot of golf stores and one of the best place to go is http://www.pgatoursuperstore.com/

Even the best athletes have a hard time golfing. Michael Jordan was one of the best and he still struggle alot with golf. Let's not even talk about Charles Barkley and his swing. Take your time and practice alot at the range. Frustration is one of the reasons why people quit golf.

Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

I guess it all depends on the instructors. I seen some good instructors and some that seem like they were just in it for the money because the instructions they gave was not helping out their swings and not targeting their flaws. Most golfers do stop after a few lessons not realizing that golf...

Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

The Adams wedges should do just fine. I've seen people taking lesson on the range and seem like it didn't help them out. My brother and friends took lesson and they said it didn't help them out. A slice is one of the hardest to fix as a beginner because a golf swing different from swinging a...

Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

I used to slice alot when I first started like most beginner. I never took golf lesson and I learned from going to the golf range alot to stop my slice. Now that I'm better I would like to get some golf lessons to help with my short game (shots under 100 yards). When you get better you will...

Golfers needed.. Question on buying new clubs...

I agree with you. We can talk golf all day but we can't see your ball flight and can't really recommend what is best for you. I can only give you my best opinion based on what was offered. I was into all the technology and hype but everyone has a different swing and not all clubs will work out.

I think for $89 it's worth a try. Maybe I'll go to the golf store and demo it myself. It seem to have an offset on that wood to help out slicer.
