The model # on the woofer is EWA 160 and it was part of a 2 way component set. I've checked online and have been unable to find any info. If anyone is familiar with these or has the specs, please let me know.

Sounds more like a wiring problem on your right channel. Are you running them on crossover with tweeters I assume? If the static sound is coming just from the woofer, check your wiring after the crossover to the woofer. If it's coming from both woofer and tweeter check your wiring from your...

What kind of midbass drivers are you running?? A seamless blend between high quality midbass drivers properly installed and a high quality sub properly installed will give you what you are looking for. I listen to tons of death metal and top notch midbass drivers made all the difference.

Crossover points are most definitely open to change.

Yeah, I was thinking up doing a 3" driver. I have the 4" Tang Band bamboo drivers as my midrange drivers in the kicks right now, so I know I like the sound of those. I don't know how easy it would be to squeeze a 3" driver in one of those pillar pods though.

Parts Express lists the freq. response on the 2" drivers down to 160 hz.

I have my midbass drivers crossed at around 200, but I may be getting new 3 way X overs.
