does someone here have this hu and amp? that's what i got and i'm trying to figure out the tuning on the amp. i've tried the dmm method and the other methods, but i still dont get my 12" type r sitting on a 2 cuft at 33 hz pounding good.

thats right. next box will be aero ported. like that i'll be able to try at different freqs.

i finished building my box. it came out pretty good. it's a 2 cuft tuned at 33hz. i get more low end bass than before, but the higher frequencies have softened quite a bit. i have to cranck the volume the get them going. what should i do next?

today i tuned up again leaving the bass volume at 10/15 and main volume a bit higher than i would rarely listen to. i have to crank the gain all the way and it didnt reach the supposed voltage. so i backed it up a bit, and started boosting the bass eq. this one is past the 6db out of 12db. i...

i need a set of components for my front. i plan running them off the HU. i'm running my stocks like that right now and it's loud enough for me, just that SQ is not there. my HU is an Alpine IDA-X305. I was thinking of getting the type r, but I've read that they are not that great for the price...

if you take the measurements into the re enclosure calculator, it ends up giving you a 2cf tuned at 30 hz box.

sorry... it's a quite simple vented box. the design i got it from reaudio enclosure calculator site. so, it is an L ported box, 2cuft tuned at 33hz. the front plate, where the sub typically goes is 19 x 13. the box height is 14, width is 22.5, and depth is 17. port with 2 inches.

well, i'm building a ported box and i have a question: whats the better place to put the sub? right in the center, at the edge opposite to the vent? no matter where?

yep, right now i'm listening my music with the sub volume all the way up and the bass at 4/5. i really have to crank the main volume to get some decent bass, else it sounds stock.
