ok, so heres the deal. i had an m450 put in at a shop back in the day, but upgraded to a m1005 and just rehooked it up. have it running an alpine 12 type x, and its consistantly hot. sub is at 2 ohms but i dont know if it is normal to be that hot. its gone into protection mode on me once already...

gain like sub and bass levels? cause my bass level is at 0 so it shouldnt be that but ill try it and what do you mean by clipping? not sure what that is but its like consistantly hot

i have an alpine m1005 running my alpine type x 12 at 2 ohms. ive had it go into protection mode on me once, but seems to be pretty hot consitantly...is that normal? has pretty good air flow so i dont think thats what it is. i live in arizona so its already like 100 outside but i dont think that...
