I assume so...... In my experience if an antenna isnt correctly plugged in, the unit wont tune into most stations, but, I have no way of knowing. I did a quick search, with no good results, but Im going back now....

I really dont want to reveal the name in a public forum...... But he sais there is NO sound at all from the tuner, but it will tune into stations.

Hello, I have a CDA-9885 in my truck, witha cha-s634 changer. In my car I have a cda-7998 with 2 changers (with the versitale link terminal) plus the older Alpine XM Tuner (TUA-T020XM). I wanted to move the XM tuner into the truck, so I hooked it and Im getting nothing. The power is hooked...

I just took a Clarion out of my truck, with the three wires. Both of the yellow wires were hooked up to the battery, and it worked fine. Your problem seems to be that or your remote turn on for your amps is connected to the power antenna wire (most likely).

I just got the 9885 the other day from Crutchfield and installed it yesterday in my truck. My initial feeling that it is a great head unit. Its a lot better than the old Clarion I had in there. I installed components run off of an amp at the same time, so I dont know exactly how much better...
